Synthetic Poster Printing for Waterproof Outdoor Posters

Synthetic Poster Printing

Our synthetic outdoor posters are printed on durable material designed for displays where standard paper posters may not be suitable. The material is waterproof, near tear-proof and ideal for poster frames, pavement signs, retail promotions, outdoor noticeboards and high-traffic display areas.

Synthetic poster material gives you the flexibility of a poster with extra durability, ideal for waterproof outdoor posters. It is a good choice when your print may be handled regularly, placed in an outdoor display frame, used in a pavement sign, or displayed in an environment where moisture, weather or wear could damage standard paper.

Each poster is printed in full colour with fade-resistant inks and a satin finish. Posters are trimmed to size as standard and supplied rolled in protective tubes for safe delivery.

Common uses for synthetic posters

Synthetic posters are a strong choice for:

• Pavement sign posters
• A-board poster inserts
• Outdoor poster frames
• Retail promotions
• Café and restaurant offers
• Event advertising
• School and college notices
• Leisure and visitor attraction signage
• Temporary outdoor displays
• Construction and site notices
• Menu boards
• Indoor posters that need extra durability

Why not use a standard paper poster?

Standard paper posters are suitable for many indoor displays, but they can crease, tear or absorb moisture more easily. Synthetic poster material is a better option when the poster needs to be more durable, handled more often or displayed in a frame that may be exposed to outdoor conditions.

If your poster will be used indoors only and does not need extra durability, standard poster printing may be the more cost-effective option. If the poster will sit in a pavement sign, outdoor frame or damp environment, synthetic poster printing is usually the better choice.

Artwork for synthetic poster printing

For best results, supply artwork as a print-ready PDF at the correct finished size. We can also accept AI, EPS, JPG and PNG files. Artwork should be high resolution, set up in CMYK colour where possible, and include any bleed required for trimming.

If you are unsure whether your artwork is suitable, upload your file with your order, and our team will check it before production.

Synthetic poster, standard poster or backlit poster?

Choose synthetic poster printing if you need a waterproof outdoor posters, more durable poster for pavement signs, outdoor frames, retail displays or areas where the print may be handled regularly.

Choose standard poster printing if your poster will be displayed indoors on a wall, noticeboard, frame or temporary display area where extra durability is not required.

Choose backlit poster printing if your design will be displayed inside a lightbox or illuminated poster frame.

If you are unsure which poster material is right for your display, contact our team and we will recommend the most suitable option.

Other poster and display products

If you do not need waterproof poster material, take a look at our poster printing or premium silk posters. For illuminated displays, we also print backlit posters for lightboxes and LED poster frames.

Synthetic posters are often used with pavement signs, poster frames, outdoor display stands and shopfront displays. If you need a more rigid outdoor sign, you may be better suited to Correx signs, Foamex signs or Dibond signs.
