Our aluminium composite signs are printed directly onto 3mm ACM board, creating a durable, rigid and professional sign panel for long-term indoor and outdoor use. ACM, also known as aluminium composite material, is made from two thin aluminium sheets bonded to a rigid polyethylene core.

This construction gives the board strength, stability and a premium finish while keeping it lighter than solid metal. It is a popular choice for business signage, shop signs, external wall signs, hoarding panels, directional signs, car park signs, property signs and long-term promotional displays.

Each ACM sign is printed in full colour directly to the board surface and square cut as standard. Custom shape cutting may be available at an additional charge. Optional lamination can also be added for extra surface protection, especially for signs used outdoors or in high-contact areas.

ACM, aluminium signs and Dibond-style boards

Aluminium composite material is often referred to as ACM, aluminium composite board, metal board, aluminium sign board or Dibond-style board. It is not solid aluminium, but it gives a strong, rigid and professional metal-faced sign finish.

The aluminium outer sheets provide a smooth printable surface, while the internal core keeps the board lighter and easier to handle than solid metal. This makes ACM one of the most popular materials for durable outdoor signage.

Board size and delivery

The maximum single sheet size is 3.05m × 1.5m. However, the live product page notes that boards over 1000mm in length may need to be cut down or tiled for delivery because of carrier restrictions and damage risk.

If you need a large sign in one piece, contact the team before ordering with the size and delivery postcode. We can advise whether it can be sent safely, whether collection or specialist delivery is better, or whether the sign should be supplied in sections.

Artwork for ACM sign printing

For best results, supply your artwork as a print-ready PDF at the correct finished size. We can also accept AI, EPS, JPG and PNG files. Artwork should be high resolution, set up in CMYK colour where possible, and include any bleed required for trimming.
