Our custom feather flags are lightweight, portable display flags designed for indoor and outdoor promotions. They are ideal for shops, events, exhibitions, forecourts, festivals, schools, sports clubs, hospitality venues, trade counters and roadside advertising.

Each feather flag is printed in full colour onto 115gsm knitted polyester using a dye-sublimation print process. This gives strong colour and approximately 80–90% show-through on the reverse for single-sided flags. The flag is fitted with a sleeve for the pole, with black sleeves supplied as standard and white sleeves available on request at no extra cost.

Feather flags are supplied with high-performance aluminium and GRP poles. They are available in four sizes and can be paired with different bases depending on where they will be displayed. Choose from options suitable for hard floors, pavements, grass, forecourts and temporary event locations.

Feather Flag Printing Specification

Overall flag height varies depending on the pole system and base selected. If you are unsure which size is right, choose a smaller flag for indoor displays, reception areas and tight spaces, and a larger flag for outdoor visibility, forecourts, events and roadside promotions.

Single-sided and double-sided feather flags

Single-sided feather flags are printed onto knitted polyester and give approximately 80–90% show-through on the reverse. This means the reverse side shows a mirrored version of the design.

Double-sided feather flags are made using two printed polyester flags with a blockout membrane between them. This allows different or correctly-reading artwork on both sides and gives better visibility from both directions.

Choosing the right base

The correct base depends on where the flag will be displayed. For indoor floors or hard surfaces, choose a suitable weighted base or cross base. For grass or soft ground, choose a ground spike. For forecourts, pavements or exposed locations, choose a heavier base option for better stability.

Outdoor use and wind guidance

Feather flags are suitable for outdoor use in appropriate conditions and are rated up to Beaufort scale 4, approximately 13–18mph. Flags should be taken down during strong winds, heavy rain combined with wind, or adverse weather conditions.

To extend the life of your flag, avoid positioning it where it can catch on walls, fences, posts, trees or other objects. Allow the flag to dry fully before storing it.

Artwork for feather flag printing

For best results, use the downloadable artwork template for the flag size you are ordering. Supply artwork as a print-ready PDF where possible. We can also accept AI, EPS, JPG and PNG files.

Keep important logos, text and contact details inside the safe area shown on the template. If you are unsure whether your artwork is suitable, upload your file with your order and our team will check it before production.

Feather flags, teardrop flags or banners?

Choose feather flags if you want a tall, narrow promotional flag that gives strong height and movement for shop fronts, events, forecourts and outdoor advertising.

Choose teardrop flags if you want a more compact curved flag shape that stays slightly more tensioned and controlled in appearance.

Choose PVC banners if you need a fixed display attached to fencing, railings, walls, stages or temporary structures.

Choose pavement signs if you need a freestanding display for footpaths, shop entrances or daily promotions.
