Backlit posters are printed on specialist translucent lightbox material designed for illuminated display frames. Unlike standard poster paper, backlit film printing allows light to pass through the print evenly, helping your design stay bright, clear and visible when lit from behind.

Our backlit poster printing is ideal for menu lightboxes, restaurant displays, cinema posters, theatre promotions, retail advertising, shopping centre displays, airport signage, exhibition graphics and photographic displays. The material works well where your poster needs to be seen clearly in low light, at night, or in a backlit frame.

Each poster is printed in full colour on 275mic gloss backlit material and trimmed to size as standard. The gloss finish gives strong colour impact, while the translucent material helps produce an illuminated effect when placed inside a suitable lightbox or LED poster frame.

Why not use a standard poster?

Standard posters are not designed to be lit from behind. When placed inside a lightbox, normal poster paper can block light, create uneven illumination and reduce the visibility of your design.

Backlit poster material is semi-transparent, so light can pass through the printed graphic more evenly. This helps your colours, photographs, menus and promotional messages appear brighter and more defined in an illuminated display.

For best results, supply your artwork as a print-ready PDF at the correct finished size. We can also accept AI, EPS, JPG and PNG files. Artwork should be high resolution, set up in CMYK where possible, and include clear margins if the poster will sit behind a lightbox frame.
